John grew up a Florida native, always in the water. From surfing to free diving, he’s always been immersed in the water culture and waterman lifestyle. This love affair with all things liquid has guided him to use his imagery to raise awareness of our dying Florida Springs and our vanishing marine life — both within salt and freshwater environments. He continues to work with several conservation agencies and groups and hopes to inspire future generations to carry on in the efforts to protect and nurture our marine waterways, lakes, and oceans.
